A lot of “regular Joes” don’t even know how to use AI at the moment.
A lot of people are going onto AI sites just to check it out, play, or mess about.
At the moment there’s a lot of novelty.
So the question is… How can AI be used in Construction?
For example, someone has taken a photo of scaffolding and given it to AI…
AI then identified where the weak spots were.
AI can also be used to map out spatial arrangements and where things fit best.
It doesn’t just account for spatial awareness but also flow. How people move within a particular space.
In construction, what are the repetitive tasks that you do, that can be improved for efficiency?
We recommend sitting down and writing a list. That way you can figure out where AI could potentially help.
Once you have your list you can enter items into AI platforms and ask it how that task can be made more efficient.
Research says that 8 BILLION DOLLARS will be invested into the sector– SPECIFICALLY for AI in CONSTRUCTION.
It’s also important to note that AI is not actually that new… It’s been around since the 1950s.
So, it’s been a long time coming.
How it’s changed is that more AI languages are being released and worked on.
Now we’re in a space where we’re determining what is TRULY USEFUL and what is superfluous or unnecessary.
Instead of being fearful or dubious of AI, ask yourself…
- How can AI help you eliminate inefficiencies?
- How can AI give you a competitive advantage?
If you know what questions to ask AI it WILL be able to help you.
