They understand construction VERY well.
For these reasons that’s why they’re employed and are seen as valuable to construction companies.

To be an amazing project manager you have to be able to be EXCELLENT at the Commercial Side…
This means…
- Writing and Handing in Contractual Notices and Letters
- Submitting Variations and EOTs
It’s VERY HARD to find a Project Manager who can fulfill both sides of the coin.
- Training a Project Manager can help to upskill and improve them. But this takes time.
- Encourage Project Managers to take initiative and learn the skills they don’t have.
Generally, Project Managers are weak regarding the contract side of things.
AND Everyone needs to learn this…
BECAUSE CONTRACTS ARE WHAT PUT MONEY IN THE BANK.
Get ahead of problems.
